The use of KOA's proprietary ceramic materials and optimization of the structure results in high surge current ratings. The NV73S is available in 3 sizes: 1210, 1812 and 2220 inch. 2220 inch size has a surge current of 6000 A, which is about five times higher than that of existing products.

NV73S series offers significant space saving compared with disc varistors and other surge protection components.

The new NV73S varistors are ideal for ESD and EMI protection in electronic devices. In industrial applications, they are especially suitable to protect against induced surges and ESD from relays, motors, solenoid valves, etc.
