SDB0530WT - Air Conditioning and The Important Role of a Tiny Power Schottky

Diotec's SDB0530WT is small Schottky diode that performs important protective and switching functions in this system. Thanks to its low forward voltage and fast switching speed, it protects back-up batteries from reverse currents, and sensitive components from reverse polarity. It is also frequently used as output rectifier in switching power supplies, where it reduces losses and improves energy transfer. Furthermore, it can steer current surges to the supply rail, thereby contributing to the operational reliability and longevity of an air conditioner’s electronic control system.
