Pacific Power Source Expands Its Regenerative AC/DC Regen Portfolio 

Kappelrodeck, Germany, July 2026 - Caltest Instruments now offers the latest performance enhancements for the Pacific Power Source AGX, RGS and RLS Series, providing even more powerful solutions for demanding AC/DC power test applications.

The updated systems now deliver up to 24 kVA/kW per 4U chassis and can be scaled up to 1.296 MVA/MW, enabling significantly higher power density without increasing rack space requirements.

AGX Series – Regenerative four-quadrant AC/DC power source supporting AC, DC, AC+DC and DC+AC operating modes for versatile testing of electrical and power electronic systems.

RGS Series – Regenerative grid simulator designed for grid compliance testing, anti-islanding verification and applications according to IEEE 1547 and UL 1741.

RLS Series – Regenerative AC/DC load simulator for realistic testing of power supplies, inverters, battery systems and other power electronic devices.

Utilizing modern silicon carbide (SiC) technology, the systems regenerate more than 90% of the absorbed energy back into the utility grid. This significantly reduces operating costs, cooling requirements and overall energy consumption, particularly during continuous high-power testing.
