Rogers Corporation’s (NYSE:ROG) Advanced Electronics Solutions (AES) group will be exhibiting at PCIM Europe and showcasing the whole curamik® ceramic substrate and cooler portfolio, as well as ROLINX® Eco which is a new generation aluminum busbar with unique features.
The PCIM Europe (Power Conversion and Intelligent Motion) is the world's leading exhibition and conference for power electronics, intelligent motion, renewable energy, and energy management. The exhibition and conference is the leading international platform showcasing current products, topics and trends in power electronics and applications, taking place at the Nuremberg Messe (exhibition hall) in Nuremberg, Germany from June 11 – 13, 2024. Rogers AES will be exhibiting in Hall 9 at Booth 446.
Visitors to the Rogers booth can learn more about curamik® ceramic substrates designed for high-demand applications. The basis of the substrate is a ceramic insulator to which pure copper is applied. The result is ceramic substrates with high thermal conductivity, high heat capacity and heat spreading provided by the thick copper layer. These high-performance substrates are well-suited for power electronics applications. The four substrate families, curamik® Power, Power Plus, Thermal and Performance offer the widest range of ceramic substrates in the market to cover all applications from low and medium, like Drives, UPS, Solar, up to highest power levels, such as xEV or Wind Mill inverters.
Furthermore, the latest curamik® Cooling Solutions material-based products are displayed and Rogers representatives offer advice on how to apply those products to photonics and electronics designs for effective thermal management and extended operating lifetimes. Among the many Rogers PES products on display will be its curamik® families of cooling products, such as curamik CoolPerformance Plus. This active water-cooled laser diode cooler effectively removes the heat from high-power laser diodes in the tightest spaces, helping to enhance power efficiency and extend operating lifetimes. Additionally, Rogers AES presents its curamik CoolPower and curamik CoolEasy material-based laser and photonics cooling solutions. The curamik CoolPower and CoolPower Plus coolers are fabricated with multiple layers of pure copper for effective thermal dissipation in the smallest volumes possible.
Visitors will also have the chance to discover the wide range of ROLINX® customized busbar solutions and assemblies renowned for their reliability, safety, and durability in the most demanding applications including mass transit and electric propulsion, industrial drives, renewable energy, and automotive systems. ROLINX® busbar solutions offer low inductance, compact and highly customizable designs and in combination with capacitors, extremely low inductance, and high-power density capabilities. Besides, visitors can learn more about ROLINX® Eco which is a new generation aluminum busbar with unique features regarding surface treatment, bending, contact resistance and creep, compared to traditional aluminum or copper busbars. The applied product range for ROLINX® Eco are single conductor busbars, lamination busbars and multi-layer conductors for high voltage busbars.
