Imagine an Electric car being rapidly Recharged by a Mobile Robot
One of the latest innovations in this field is mobile “charging cabs”. You simply park your EV anywhere in a dedicated car park. Starting the charging app is all you need to do; the rest is performed by an autonomous robot. It approaches your car, connects the cable, and charges the battery. When the energy stored in the charging station is used up, it will call another robot to continue charging your car until it reaches the desired storage level. When you need to leave, the robot on duty will stop the charging process immediately, and your car will be released. It returns to its base and is charged on the grid until the next EV calls for it. All you need for this charging cab solution is a grid connection and a limited space for parking the robots.
Diote's SiC MOSFET DIW120SIC023-AQ employs advanced technology in the charging circuit of these robots. It offers a reverse voltage rating of 1200 V, a very low on-state resistance of just 23 mΩ, and ultra-high switching speeds. This minimizes power losses during the conversion and transfer of electrical energy, resulting in faster and more efficient charging. All enable a highly efficient charging process, which reduces charging times and improves overall system performance.
