Electric Forklift: Emission-Free Stacking and Transporting - Driven by Diotec's DI020N06D1-AQ

Electric forklift trucks are the preferred choice for in-house logistics operations due to their quiet, emission-free, and highly efficient electric motors for both driving and fork-moving. State-of-the-art drive inverters feature an efficiency of over 80%, allowing for a full day of operation without the need for recharging the battery. Powering up after working hours is as simple as plugging in a power cord. Connecting or filling a gas bottle is not necessary, and it saves on gasoline storage.

The three-phase drive inverter of a 1 kW forklift motor, supplied by a 48 V battery, uses the Power MOSFET DI020N06D1-AQ by Diotec Semiconductor. These N-type MOSFETs feature a low on-resistance of typically 26 mΩ, fast switching times, and very low gate charge at nominal 20 A and 60 V. The D-PAK case outline enables full automatic printed circuit board assembly. The peak drain current of 50 A at up to 100 µs provides sufficient margin during start and stop operations.
