Qutab is a senior analyst and team leader at PTR Inc., where he oversees research efforts related to grid flexibility and modernization technologies. He leads a team of highly skilled analysts in developing a comprehensive global knowledge base on critical topics impacted by the energy transition, including Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS), Energy Storage Systems (ESS), High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission, and port electrification. Qutab's extensive expertise in these areas provides Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) with a strategic advantage by offering deeper insight into key country markets.

In addition to his work on grid flexibility, Qutab's team is exploring the critical role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and substation automation in the power grid sector. The team's objective is to gain a thorough understanding of how utilities are leveraging grid edge technologies such as Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) which include rooftop solar, residential, commercial, and industrial ESS, Vehicle to Grid (V2G) through the deployment of platforms like Demand Response and Distributed Energy Resource Management Systems (DERMS).

Qutab has spearheaded several in-house and custom studies for Fortune 500 clients in the US and Europe. He has also represented PTR Inc. at numerous internal and external speaking engagements, including webinars, podcasts, conferences, and tradeshows, further establishing his position as a thought leader in the industry. Qutab holds an MS degree in electrical engineering.
