"Amira Ammar is a highly accomplished professional with a strong educational background and extensive experience in electrical and electronic engineering, project management, and consultancy. She holds a Doctoral Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from a joint supervision program between Saint Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanese University, and École de Technologie Supérieure de Québec, Canada, with a focus on the design and implementation of a new control algorithm for an indirect matrix-based grid-connected converter. She also earned a Master of Science in Science, Technology, and Industrial Control and a Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Throughout her academic journey, she has achieved numerous accolades, including being the first author of 14 research papers and articles presented by IEEE and receiving various scholarships for her outstanding academic performance.

In addition to her academic accomplishments, she has a proven track record as a Freelancer in engineering, project management, and consultancy, where she has designed, installed, and consulted on electrical and mechanical systems in construction projects, collaborating with clients, architects, construction teams, suppliers, and professionals. She has also held senior management positions at Infineon Technologies Inc. and GaN Systems Inc., where she accelerated GaN technology adoption across various market segments and drove product and market roadmaps to expand revenue. Her technical expertise extends to product development, technical analysis, and market research, and she has successfully managed acquisition and merger processes.

In parallel with her professional endeavors, she has shown strong leadership and advocacy skills, serving as Vice Chair of IEEE-WIE Women in Engineering Lebanon Section and significantly contributing to the promotion of women engineers. She has received numerous awards and recognitions for her contributions to the field of engineering, including the Best Oral Communication Award and the Engineer of the Year award.
